     Dear Community Members,

      I am pleased to announce the continuation of my almost 25 years of service to the valley as the manager of the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. Joe Lane and the entire staff of Lane Funeral Homes are committed to the highest level of dedication to client families they serve. It was this commitment that drew me to Lanes and one that will allow me to continue the professional and caring work of my father Cliff Thompson, Jr.

Walter G. Sinn Executive Vice-President

Walter (Wally) Sinn; Graduate of Western Reserve High School in Berlin Center in 1967, attended Youngstown State University major in Advertising and a minor in Merchandising, graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1970. I served my apprenticeship at Lane Funeral Home receiving my Embalmers and Funeral Directors license in 1972. Currently Vice President of Lane Funeral Homes, also manager of Lane Monument division. Wally has been with the firm since 1965.

Wally lives in Green Twp. with his wife Carol. They have three grown children Pamela Vizinni, Rebecca Ucker, Stephen and four grandchildren. Wally is a member of the Ellsworth Presbyterian Church where he is an Elder; Charter member and Past President of Western Mahoning County Kiwanis, Past Lt. Governor Division 21 Ohio District of Kiwanis, enjoys playing softball, bowling and spending time with his family.


Anthony Nacarato
Funeral Director

Anthony has been involved in the funeral profession since 1988 and has been with Lanes since April of 2003. He was a 1986 graduate of Ursuline High School and a 1997 graduate of Youngstown State University wih a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology, and Economics. He went on to receive his degree in Specialized Technology / Embalming and Funeral Directing from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1998. 

    Anthony was born and raised in the Youngstown area. He and his wife Josie live in Canfield with their two sons Joseph and Domenic. They have been married since April of 2000 and are members of St. Christine Church in Youngstown. 

     He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus where he serves as the Financial Secretary of the first council in Ohio, Youngstown Council #274. Anthony’s community involvement includes being a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bishop Malone Assembly #829, a member of the Canfield Rotary Club where he currently serves as Community Chairperson, and a proud member of the Pacentrani Club, a local service club of Italian men celebrating their rich heritage. 

     He is proud to serve the people of the area and is committed to easing the burden of the loss of a loved one.


Steve Gerberry Funeral Director

Steve is a 1995 graduate of the Mineral Ridge High School, graduating as class Valedictorian. He then received his AAS from Youngstown State University before attending the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where he received his BMS. He has been with Lane Funeral Home since 1996, and had been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 2000. Steve is also a licensed life and health insurance agent.

Steve lives in Mineral Ridge, with his wife the former Stacie Donchatz; daughters: Megan and Madeline; and Labrador Sadie. 

Steve is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mineral Ridge, and serves on the Board of Trustees in Weathersfield Township. He is a member of the Tri County Funeral Director’s Assoc., Ohio Funeral Director’s Assoc., National Funeral Director’s Assoc., Trumbull Township Assoc., and Ohio Township Assoc.


Jamie Savage

Administrative Assistant

 

Jamie is a 2002 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. She graduated in 2006 from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Gerontology. Jamie obtained high honors in both high school and college. After she got her degree, she started working for Lane Funeral Homes full time. She has been with the company since September 2006. 

Jamie is currently the Canfield Chapel administrative assistant. She assists with our aftercare program, and is also an at need liasion for the company. Jamie also helps with the It's Our Privilege Program at the funeral home. She was born and raised in Austintown, and she currently resides in Canfield with her family. Jamie attends Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Austintown, and she is a member of the church's adult choir. She enjoys traveling, singing, reading, exercising, volunteering in the community, and spending time with her family and friends.
