A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am Thursday at St. Christine's Catholic Church for Albert Donald Ramunno who passed away Sunday morning at the Hospice House.
Al was born February 25, 1918 in Aliquippa, PA a son of the late Antonio and Luisa (DeChellis) Ramunno.
A veteran of the United States Navy during World War II, Al was a collection manager for Mahoning Bank and ran his own collection agency for ten years.
He was one of the original founding members of St. Christine's Church and enjoyed writing poetry.
His wife the former Marion Kurfess, whom he married in 1941, passed away January 4, 2012.
Al will be missed by his daughter Patricia (John) Galant of Palm Island, FL; a son Robert Ramunno of Youngstown; four grandchildren: Ashley Galant, Robbie Ramunno, Harmony Ramunno and Haley Ramunno.
Besides his wife and parents, Al is preceded in death by a sister Mary and two brothers: John and Harry.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Christine's Church in Al's name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes Austintown Chapel.
