Memorial services will be 6:30 pm Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Rd., Greenford for Gladys Plastow, 91 of Salem who died Tuesday, December 4th at Essex II. Gladys was born June 10, 1921 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, a daughter of the late John Edward and Gladys Gertrude Dunton Farnan and came to this area in 1954.
Gladys was a homemaker and former member of Holy Trinity Church, Salem. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing.
Her husband, John Warner Plastow whom she married June 29, 1947, died September 1, 2005. She leaves her daughter, Susan Stoddard of Salem; a son, Doug Plastow of Odessa, Florida; 2 grandsons, Steven and Ron Plastow; a great granddaughter, Sydney Plastow and a great-grandson, Sam Plastow. Gladys also leaves a brother, George Farnan of Burlington, Ontario, Canada and a sister, Marjorie Ireland of Sauble Beach, Ontario, Canada. Arrangements are being handled by Lane Family Funeral, Canfield Chapel. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the Holy Trinity Church, 1089 E. State St. Salem, OH 44460
