There are no services or calling hours for Lois C. Forney, 73, who died early Friday morning at Camelot Arms Nursing Center in Youngstown.
She was born February 9, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of Horace and Sara (Boyer) Richard.
She was a 1955 graduate of East High School.
She worked as a maid for Howard Johnson's in Liberty for many years. She also did cleaning work for the Honeywell Corp. while living in Connecticut for 13 years before retiring in 2000.
She enjoyed bowling, watching television, and most of all she cherished her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.
Lois was a kind and loving lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters; Bonnie Grantz of Youngstown, with whom she made her home, and Connie Lavertu of Beverly Hills, Fla. She also leaves behind a brother, Harold (Delores) Richard of Columbus; three sisters; Emma Botsko of Poland, Betty (Harry) McFall of Hubbard, and Norma Anania of Hubbard; a sister-in-law, Alice Richard of Boardman; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis and Daniel Forney, and two brothers, James and Wilbur Richard.
The family asks that donations be made in Lois's memory to the American Cystic Fibrosis Association.
