Thomas L. "KiKi" Fairmakes, 54, of Warren, passed away December 19, 2012, peacefully at his home.
Tom was born in Warren on September 6, 1958 to Nicholas and Ruth (Simons) Fairmakes.
He was a 1976 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School and a member of the St.Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Tom was a self employed entertainer and booking agent for over 30 years. He is most notably known as "KiKi DeCarlo", female impersonator, from coast to coast. He starred and was most known for his roles as Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor and Liza Minelli among others. He also starred in the 1987 film "Tiger Warsaw" with Patrick Swayze. Tom worked as a makeup artist for the stars of the Kenley Players, among others. He was a talented chef, interior decorator, floral designer and nail specialist. He was a kind hearted compassionate person who never met a stranger and never turned his back on anyone who needed help including the Trumbull County AIDS Task Force, Paint the Town Pink Follies, sponsored by the Warren Junior Women's League and the Animal Welfare League, which he volunteered for. He will always be known as the life of the party.
Tom is survived by his sister, Fay (Will) Bledsoe of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, William (Cynthia) Fairmakes of Greene and Donald (Athena) Smith of Greene; three nephews and one niece, Nicholas, William, Travis and Nicole, one great niece and three great nephews.
He was preceded by his parents Nicholas and Ruth Fairmakes.
Visitation with a Trisagion service will be held Friday December 28, 2012 from 5-8 PM at the Lane Family Roberts- Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr. Warren, OH. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday December 29, 2012 at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 North High St. Warren, OH. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene TWP.
A tribute will also be held in "KikKi DeCarlo's" honor on Saturday January 12, 2013 at Club 441 on E. Market St. in downtown Warren.
Memorials may be made in his name to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church.
