Youngstown-Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, October 21, 2005 in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel with the Rev. Ken Sausman officiating for Ada M. Hodory, of Glacier Ave in Youngstown, who passed away at 12:45 PM Monday, October 17, 2005 in St. Joseph Health Center in Warren. Ada was 82. Ada was born on August 18, 1923 in Niles, Ohio and was the only daughter of Stephen and Eleanor (Fazekas) Sohayda. Ada was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and a graduate of the Choffin School of Nursing, where she received her Practical Nursing Degree. Ada was a homemaker and was a member of the American Hungarian Reformed Church in Youngstown, the IDA McKinley Chapter #229 Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the Mother of Twins Club, which she helped organize and served as first president. Ada was married on November 1, 1941 to Alexander A. Hodory. He preceded her in death this year on June 10th. Ada is survived by two sons, Clifford A. (Karen) Hodory of Youngstown, and Leonard P. (Marilyn LaRock) Hodory of Cortland; a brother Andrew (Mary) Sohayda of Warren; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Ada was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Sohayda. Family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the funeral home. Ada will be laid to rest in Tod Homestead Cemetery.
