Agnes A. Watson

Ellsworth- A service celebrating the life of Agnes Watson will be held 11 am Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel who went to be with the Lord Sunday morning at the Hospice House with her family at her bedside. Agnes was born December 7, 1917 in Westville, Ohio the daughter of Howard F. and Caroline (Carrie Cobbs) Cameron. Agnes was one of nine children. As a young woman Agnes worked at the Decourt Basket Factory in Damascus. Later in life she was a Youngstown Vindicator carrier delivering the Vindicator in Ellsworth, Berlin Center and Canfield areas. Agnes was very faithful to the Vindicator and her customer's. The paper was always delivered on time regardless of weather. Agnes married John L. Watson in 1939, together they had three daughters; Virginia (Larry) Bandy of Homeworth, Jackie (Fred) Schrock of North Jackson and Carol (Walter) Sinn of Green Twp. She loved to stay busy by cooking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, tole painting or making quilts for all the children and grandchildren. Agnes also enjoyed doing woodwork and traveled the country with her husband John and her family. Her greatest love was for her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren, who could always lift her spirits with a visit to "grandmas". Her faithful companion was her Chihuahua, "Doggie". Besides her children Agnes will be missed by grandchildren; John (Joni) Hall, Melinda Vecchio, Pamela (Vincent) Vizinni, Heather Hughes, Rebecca (Tony) Ucker, Steve (Jamie) Sinn, Carrie (Mike Hill) Bandy and Howard Bandy. She will also be missed by 14 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John L. Watson whom she married in 1939 and who died in 1995, sisters; Gladys Smith, Hazel Bowersock, Faye McArtor, Irene Hoffman, Edith Stone and brothers; Russell, Roger and Ralph Cameron. Family and friends may call from 4-7 pm Wednesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Hospice House.
