On May 30, 2013, Albert L. "Moe" Lawhorn, Jr. went home to be with his Lord after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving wife, children, grandchildren and brother at the age of 66 years. He was born Nov. 17, 1946 in Oak Hill, WVA, a son of Albert Lewis and Mable Marie Tincher Lawhorn. Albert was predeceased by his parents and a brother Paul and leaves to mourn his passing his wife, the former Linda L. Stephens, whom he married Dec. 2, 1967; his children, Albert L. Lawhorn, 111, Ed (April) Lawhorn and Donna Lawhorn, all of Lordstown; his sisters, Verna (Greg) Boss of Wooster, Peggy Tibbs and Janet (Bill) Woods, both of Lordstown; his brother, Thomas (Beth) Lawhorn of Howland and his grandchildren, Eddie, John, David, Olivia, Emily and Bradley Cole Lawhorn, all of Lordstown. Al was a pipefitter, serving out of Local No. 396, formerly Local No. 225, retiring in 1999. He was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of Leavittsburg Baptist Church. Al enjoyed watching NasCar, camping and fishing and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 3rd from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Leavittsburg Baptist Church, where the Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Kern officiating. Interment will follow at Lordstown Village Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice Senior Independence, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd., Bldge E. Canfield, OH 44406 or to Leavittsburg Baptist Church, 4150 Kincaid E. Rd., NW Warren, OH 44481.
