Alexandra E. Wolfram, 84, of Warren peacefully went home to be with the Lord, 11:15 PM Saturday Jan.17, 2009 following a short illness. She was surrounded by her family at St. Josephs Health Care Center. She was born Feb.6, 1924 in Krakow, Poland the only child of Walter and Jadwiga Bandula. Alexandra came to this country in 1949 and lived in Minnesota for 1 year before coming to the Warren area in 1950. She was employed at Packard Electric for 30 years retiring in 1984 as an inspector. She was raised in the Catholic faith in Poland and enjoyed traveling, especially to be near the water, gospel music and reading. She was known as "Grandma" to everyone and will be sadly missed by her many friends and neighbors. Her beloved husband Hugo whom she married Sept.8, 1944 in Salzburg, Austria preceded her in death Nov.21, 1989. Also preceding her in death was her loving son Sigmund in 2002. She is survived by a daughter Eva (William) Thomas of Boca Raton, FL, devoted daughter-in-law Brenda Wolfram of Warren, beloved grandchildren Alexander Wolfram of Warren who was her caregiver, Paulina (James) Fix of Myrtle Beach, Kimberly Thomas of Boca Raton, and Scott Thomas stationed with the US Army in Afghanistan. She also was godmother to Chris Van Horn of Warren. A service of remembrance will be 11:AM Wednesday Jan.21, 2009 at Roberts-Clark Chapel where friends will be received from 6-8 Tuesday. Pastor Garry Hennessey will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
