Alice B. Jones

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Monday at Old North Church of Canfield for Alice B. Jones, 82, of Canfield who passed away Thursday at Hospice House Care Center. Alice was born May 19, 1925 in Knoxville TN, the daughter of Herbert and Sue (Jackson) Coffey. She was a graduate of Monroe High School in Michigan, a member of the church, its Quilting Club and Golden Heirs, and the Canfield Garden Club. Alice worked for Ohio Bell for more than 25 years, and had retired from the Canfield Police Department as a dispatcher. Her husband George Jones whom she married January 8, 1944, passed away January 5, 2007. Alice leaves a daughter Lynn (Richard) Mauch of Ellsworth, three grandchildren; Erica Wilhelm, Brian Jones, and Theresa (Steve) Coco, and one great granddaughter; Riley Jones. Besides her husband and parents Alice is preceded in death by a son Robert Jones and a brother Herbert Coffey. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
