Alice L. Mccombs

– Private services will be held for Alice L. McCombs, 83, of McDonald who passed away Sunday morning in Hospice House. Alice was born November 2, 1925 in Beaver County PA, the daughter of Hartley W. and Vera May (Hoak) Lohry. She was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. Alice’s hobbies included going to auctions and flea markets. Her husband the late Jack Allender McCombs whom she married October 5, 1946 in Reading PA, passed away December 5, 1979. Alice leaves two sons; Barry J. of Mineral Ridge and Eric (Eileen) of Canfield, one daughter-in-law Karen McCombs of Boardman, two grandchildren; Hunter and Briahna McCombs both of Canfield, as well as three brothers; Delano of Mobile AL, Ray of Beaverfalls PA, and Butch of Atlanta GA, and two sisters; Naomi of Beaverfalls PA, and Marilyn of West Virginia. Arrangements are by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown Ohio 44512, in Alice’s name.
