Alice M. Booty

Alice May Booty of Vienna, OH passed away early Sunday morning June 2, 2013 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles following a brief illness. She was eighty-four years old. She was born on May 31, 1929 in Youngstown, OH the daughter of the late Era M. and Anna M. (Norton) Crew. Alice was a 1947 graduate of Vienna High School and had been a homemaker, mother, and grandmother to her beloved family for all of her life. Mrs. Booty was a longtime member of the Vienna United Methodist Church where she had been active in several groups. She leaves behind her beloved husband of sixty-five years Charles F. Booty Sr. whom she married on December 20, 1947 at the Grange Hall in Vienna Center; two sons Charles Booty Jr. and his wife Patricia of Masury, OH Gregory Booty of Vienna, OH; daughter Lynda Canatay of Orlando, FL; brother Donald Crew and his wife Evelyn of Vienna, OH; and two grandchildren Jonathan Canatay and Seneca Booty. Alice was preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen May Booty on September 24, 2006, her sister Carol Duncan, and her brother George Crew. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday evening June 5, 2013 at the Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Brookfield, OH. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at the Vienna United Methodist Church beginning at 10:30AM with Rev. Cathy Ake officiating. Burial will follow at the Vienna Township Cemetery.
