AUSTINTOWN-Andrew H. Colantone Sr., 83, of Austintown, passed away at 4:50 PM Saturday, December 16, 2006 in Austinwoods Nursing Center. Andrew was born February 28, 1923 in Youngstown and was the son of the late Oreste and Josephine (Iacovetta) Colantone Sr. Andrew was co-owner and partner of Colantone Bros. Construction Company and also Plaza Lumber Company. Andrew was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Germany during World War II with the rank of Corporal. Andrew was of the catholic faith and was a member of the Itam on Meridian Road, former member and part owner of the Alibi of the East Side of Youngstown and also in Canfield. He was also a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Andrew also enjoyed flying, motorcycles, boating, and traveling during his retirement years. Andrew is survived by his wife the former Mary Ann Zillo, whom he married August 31, 1946; three sons Andrew H. Colantone Jr. of Tucson, Arizonia, Charles C. (Barbara) of Canfield, and Craig (Linda) of Austintown; three sisters Phillis Ernest of Boardman, Marge LoCicero of Boardman, and Betty Fajack of Poland; one brother Oreste Colantone Jr. of Poland; four grandchildren Lisa Shaw, Nicole, Charlie, and Jaclyn Colantone; and a great grandson Chas Lee Colantone. In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by one sister Angeline Guerrieri, and two brothers Pat and William Colantone. There will be no calling hours observed. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 1:30 PM in the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel.
