Berlin Center- Andy Nemeth passed away late Saturday evening. He was born January 19, 1930 in Youngstown the son of Andrew and Maria Nemeth. Within months he and his family returned to Czechoslovakia, where he remained until age 19. Upon returning to the United States, he met his beloved wife Mary Ann Yuhas whom he married April 14, 1951. Andy and Mary started a lifetime of memories and bore a family of five; Theresa (Chuck) Byer of Florida, Tom Nemeth, Rick Nemeth, Penny- (Chris Gordon) of Colorado and Bob (Heather) Nemeth of South Carolina. Andy’s family continues to grow with grandchildren; Corey, Hope, Brandy, Breanne, Jamie, Colin, Rachel and great-grandchildren; Pacey, Alexa and Andi. He also leaves a brother Paul in Slovakia. Andy was preceded in death by his grandson Andrew J. Byer. Andy and Mary moved to Berlin Center in 1955, fulfilling his lifelong dream of owning his own farm. While working his farm he retired from Giant Eagle in 1993 where he had been meat manager. Andy loved being outdoors enjoying nature and being on his tractor. He was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and loved attending mass. Commemoration of Andy’s life will be held at St. Catherine’s at 10 am Thursday morning. Burial will take place in Calvary cemetery in Youngstown. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Wednesday evening at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to St. Catherine’s Church in Andy’s name.
