Angela V. Wightman

Angela V. Wightman YOUNGSTOWN--Private services were held for Angela V. Wightman, 100, who went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning at Assumption Nursing Home in North Lima. Angela was born Nov. 23, 1912 in New Alexandria, PA., the daughter of the late Nick and Rose (Apone) Volpe Angela graduated from business school. She worked in the Pentagon during WWII, as well as several other jobs and finally retired in 1977 from the Civil Service Commission Food Stamp Program where she was a secretary for ten years. She attended Youngstown Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, sewing and gardening. She was also a gold medalist winner in spelling bees at Assumption. She leaves her children Noel J. (Edward) Davis of Austintown, Eric J. (Karen) Wightman of Salem and her granddaughters Rebecca Leigh Davis of Austintown and Rachel Marie Wightman of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold C. Wightman, her two children Janice Lee and Randall C. (surviving spouse Cathie) Wightman of Boardman, five brothers and seven sisters.
