Angeline C. “Angie” Ray, 92, of Cortland died peacefully at 4:06 AM Friday Dec.21, 2007 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born July 7, 1915 in Romney, WV the daughter of Leonard O. and Stella M. (Sigel) Clower. Angie was a lifetime area resident and attended Vienna Schools. She was employed as an inspector at Packard Electric for 35 years retiring in 1974. She was a long-time member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church of Warren where she served on the Deacon Board and belonged to the Women’s Society and the Prime-Time Seniors group. Her circle of friends was very important to her and she enjoyed walking at the Eastwood Mall, golf, and traveling- taking numerous bus trips throughout the country. She also was a member of Warren Civic Music and faithfully attended the Packard Band concerts. Her husband, Herbert W. Ray, whom she married March 15, 1941, preceded her in death July 29, 1984. She is survived by 2 sisters Dorothy Lesjak of Howland, Mary Ellen (Donald) Zimmer of Pinetop, AZ, 2 brothers Lynn Clower and Warren Clower both of Vienna, a sister-in-law Fern Clower of Mineral Ridge, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were 2 sisters Lois Barnum and Alice Taylor and a brother William Clower. The Rev. Dr. David Robert Black will conduct funeral services 11:00 AM Thursday Dec.27, 2007 at the Calvary Presbyterian Church 119 Laird Ave. NE Warren, OH Immediately following the service, friends and family are invited to a celebration of Angie’s life at the Lake Vista Club House in Cortland. Material contributions may be made to the memorial fund at the church.
