Ann E. Yager

Canfield-A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Canfield for Ann E. Yager of Canfield who passed away on Wednesday at Austinwoods Nursing Home. Mrs. Yager was born June 8, 1917 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Timsho) Mancos. She and her husband Michael founded Yager’s Valu King in Canfield in 1966 and retired in 1985. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Youngstown Grocers Association, St. Michael’s Catholic Church Ladies Guild, was a member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild, and graduated from Newton Falls High School. Mrs. Yager loved to cook, knit, and crochet. Ann leaves four children: Jean Ann McClellan, George, Michael, and Richard Yager all of Canfield, as well as ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Betty Jean Spirnak of Brunswick, OH and a brother Joe Mancos of Las Vegas, NV. Mrs. Yager was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Michael, whom she married November 11, 1935 and passed away on November 28, 1990.
