Ann M Stantial

Ann M. Stantial, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. She was born on April 17, 1929 in Warren, Ohio to the late, Adam and Olivia (Desantis) Galano. Ann lived in Warren, Ohio when she met and married her first husband and the father of her children, Charles Curtis Penrose, who passed on July 15, 1974 after 27 years of marriage. She moved to Mecca Township, Ohio when she married her second husband, Dennis "Denny" G. Stantial on October 5, 1984 and they were married for 19 years until his passing on September 12, 2004. Ann had worked as a press operator at Venture Plastics in Warren for 16 years and was a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren. Ann was a member of the Civitellesi Club in Warren and was a member of the Italian American Heritage Club having served as the continental breakfast chairperson for 6 years. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed cooking. She loved spending time with her family, especially when they could all get together at the holiday gatherings. Ann was a proud cancer survivor and was very active in the Warren Relay for Life. She will be deeply missed by her many friends at Waterstone Place Apartments, friends in the community and by all five generations of her family. The family of Ann Stantial would like to thank the staff at the Centers for Dialysis Care in Howland for helping Ann through her difficult 5 years of dialysis and send a thank you to the doctors and nurses at Trumbull Memorial Hospital ICU for their compassion and assistance. Ann is survived by her children, Shirley (John) McIver of Niles, OH., Debra (Ron) Larry of Lima, OH., Phil (Tonya) Penrose of Niles, OH., and Jim Penrose of Niles, OH.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren; sister, Rose Pierce of Champion, Twp; brother, Phil (Linda) Galano of Shrevesport, LA. and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Charles C. Penrose and Denny G. Stantial; parents, daughter, Yvonne and twins; grandson, Anthony Larry; great granddaughter, Jordan Shaker; great grandson, Javon Xalexiah; and sisters, Lucy Kelly and Carol Jean Pezzano. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Lane family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE, from 4:00 to 6:00pm. A Funeral Service will follow calling hours beginning at 6:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in the East Mecca Township Cemetery.
