Brookfield Ann P. Yazvac, 88, passed away on Friday afternoon, June 19, 2015 at Sharon Regional Hospital. Ann was born on November 17, 1926 in East Rochester, PA, a daughter of the late Steve and Mary (Simunic) Markesich. She was a graduate of Aliquippa High School. She was a devoted catholic and a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Vienna. She was also a member of the Croatian Club in Farrell, PA, an officer of the Croatian Lodge 126 CFU, and was employed at Valley View for 10 years. She played with the Tamburitzans and loved spending time with her family. Ann will be deeply missed by her children, John (Kathleen) Yazvac of Mentor, OH, Mike Yazvac of Brookfield, OH, and Steve (Bridget) Yazvac of Stevensville, Montana; five grandchildren, Christine, John, Jennifer, Joseph, and Ivan; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Madison; and her sister Eleanor Popovich of Pittsburgh, PA. She will also be missed by all her close relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Yazvac, whom she married on August 2, 1947 and passed away on July 31, 1988; and her brother Steve Markesich Family and friends may call from 4-7:00PM on Wednesday June 24, 2015 at Lane Family Funeral Homes - Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, OH. A Rosary will be held at the funeral home at 6:30PM on Wednesday. A Requiem Mass will be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Vienna, OH on Thursday June 25, 2015 at 11:00AM, with Fr. Denis G. Bouchard, F.S. S. P officiating. Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
