Anna J. Tims

North Jackson- Graveside services will be held 11 Am Saturday (June 24) at North Jackson Cemetery for Anna J. Tims, age 94 of Newark, OH formerly of Silica Rd. in North Jackson who died Sunday afternoon at Selma Markowitz Hospice Center in Newark. Anna was born Sept. 3, 1911 in Pittsburgh, Pa. and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Stecevisz) Tims. She had been a school teacher for 44 years, teaching in the Warren City Schools for 30 years and the Mahoning County Schools for 14 years. Anna was a member of the First Federated Church in North Jackson, Keen-Agers of North Jackson, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and attended Kent State, Ohio University and graduated from Youngstown College. Anna is survived by a sister-in-law Florence (Eugene) Tims of Warren, nieces and nephews Susan (Bill) Jansheski, Mary Lou (Bob) Craigo, James E. (Anne) Tims, Jack (Brenda) Tims, Jay (Jane) Tims, Joan Tims, Mary Jo (John) Cox, Clifford Tims, James H. Tims, Janet (Dana) Brown, Anne Campbell, Jeanie (Clinton) Grosz and William (Debbie) Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Jean Campbell and three brothers, Eugene, John and Dr. Walter Tims. There are no calling hours.
