Anna Katherine Scott

Anna Katherine (Geho) Scott, age 90, of Cortland, Ohio, died Friday, September 21, 2007, at 9:30 PM at the Cortland Healthcare Center in Cortland, OH. She was born on September 17, 1917 in Wayne County, OH., the daughter of the late Samuel W. Geho and the late Sarah Ann (Hennis) Geho. A homemaker, Mrs. Scott had attended church at the Church at Warren and was a member of the Blue Star Mothers. She love flowers and had a passion for cooking. Mrs. Scott also enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Merle E. Scott, whom she married on September 27, 1936. Merle preceded her in death on April 26, 1998. She is survived by one son, Walter L. Scott of Warren, OH., and by one daughter, Virginia and husband Jerry Lyman of Cortland. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by two son, Kenneth Scott and the Rev. Stanley Scott. Also preceding her in death were twelve brothers and sisters. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, Ohio, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2007. Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 . Interment will be at Sager Memorial Cemetery in Bristolville, OH.
