Anna Marie Addicott

Anna Marie Addicott of Masury, Ohio, passed away at 12:55PM Saturday June 13, 2009 at UPMC Farrell Campus from complications from Parkinsons' Disease. She was 91 years old. Mrs. Addicott was born on May 17, 1918 in Etna, PA a daughter of Herbert Joseph and Rose (Rohrer) Kershner. She went on to marry George W. Adddicott on September 14, 1940 and together they would share over sixty-eight years of marriage. She was formerly employed by Valley View Department Store and also had worked as the Dean of the Brookfield United Methodist Pre-School since its inception 1971 until her retirement in 1979. Ann was a proud member of the Masury United Methodist Church, the Brookfield United Methodist Church, and was a founding member of the Brookfield Fire Departments Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being active and loved to playing cards, bowling, and dancing with her husband at the Slovak Club. Mrs. Addicott is survived by her husband George W.; her four sons David W. Addicott and his wife Sylvia of Masury, OH, George W. Addicott Jr. and his wife Connie of West Palm Beach, FL, Jeffrey P. Addicott and his wife Alexis of Hermitage, PA, and Ronald C. Addicott and his wife Donna of Columbiana, OH; ten grand children whom she cherished Traci, Brian, George, Charles, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Adrienne, Nicole, Justin, and Gina; and by six great-grandchildren Lachlan, Griffin, Jeffrey, Hannah, Ashley, and Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her brother Joseph Kershner, and by her three sisters Bernadette "Betty" Bartosh, Marcella Laycock, and Alvera Kershner. Calling hours will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8 PM and one hour prior to the services at 11:00AM Thursday the Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel, Brookfield, with Brother Jerrold Herron as celebrant. Burial will be at Brookfield Township Cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to the Masury United Methodist Church.
