Anna May Hale

Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Anna May Hale, 91, of Youngstown who passed away Thursday morning at the Inn at Christine Valley. Anna was born February 23, 1920 in Johnstown PA, the daughter of John P. and Mary (Krause) Martin Sr. She worked as a meat wrapper for Kroger's for 30 years, retiring in 1984. She was a Lutheran by faith and was an avid bowler, and a member of the Eagles #3298, St. Joseph Seniors, Sts. Peter & Paul Seniors, and St. Brendan's 60-Plus Club. Anna leaves two sons; Ronald E (Anita) Hale of Spring Hill FL, and Edwin (Josephine) Hale of Austintown, one sister; Betty Baiker of Chandler AZ, eight grandchildren; Dianne, Deborah, Linda, James, Daniel, David, Brian, and Jenny, as well as eleven great grandchildren; Charles, Candace, Alyssa, Hunter, Andrew, Isabella, Jessica, Chase, Ryan, Sarah and Shaun. Besides her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a daughter; Patricia Riebe, one granddaughter; Caroline Hale, five brothers; Charles, Raymond, William, John Jr., and Kenneth Martin, and one sister Marie Martin.
