Anna Tomlin

Anna Tomlin, 87 of Warren, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, November 4, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland. She was born June 3, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of the late John and Anna Petkonich Huyvan. Anna retired from the law firm of Nader and Nader, where she worked as a title examiner. She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church (OCA) in Warren. She had been a member of the Federated Russian Orthodox Church womens' group and the Ladies Auxilliary of the Elks Lodge No. 295 in Warren. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed sewing and reading. Her husband, James Norman Tomlin, whom she married June 4, 1955, preceded her in death November 18, 2011. One sister, Mary Masaitis and one brother, John Huyvan Jr. also preceded her in death. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah A. (Steven R.) Hurley of Dublin, OH and Lisa A. (Carl F.) Armanini of Charlotte, NC; three grandsons, Tyler and Zachary Hurley and Joseph Armanini; one granddaughter, Anya Armanini and one sister, Sophie Pecuszok of Walbridge, OH. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Orthodox Church (OCA) on Reeves Road N.E. in Warren, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. Jonathan Cholcher will celebrate the service. Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren. The family would like to thank the staff of Shepherd of the Valley in Howland and the nurses with Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate and loving care of Anna.
