Anne Marie Kubiac

December 23, 1909 — June 29, 2005

Canfield-Anne Marie Kubiac, 95, formerly of Tippecanoe Road Canfield, died Wednesday morning June 28 at Pleasant Valley North Retirement Center, Salem. Anne was born December 23, 1909 in Lowellville, the daughter of Gottlieb and Marie Hass Geiger. A 1928 graduate of Lowellville High School, she also graduated from Youngstown College Secretarial School, and was a member of the Boardman United Methodist Church. Anne enjoyed raising flowers and arranging them in many styles including Ikebana. She was a member of the Friendly Gardeners Garden Club and became an accredited flower judge. As a hobby, she and her husband raised and showed English Springer Spaniels. The kennel was well known with several champions to their credit. As a member of the Mahoning-Shenango Kennel Club, she served as treasurer for many years. She served as President and Treasurer of Photogenic Machine Company Inc., a family owned business, from the year 1960 through 1991 when she retired. Anne is survived be her sister, June (Gene) Steinbaugh of Girard; her son, Tom (Pat) Kubiac of Canfield, two grandchildren, William (Jen) Kubiac of Palm Harbor, Fl., Carrie (Nick) Terziu of Canfield; and a great grandson Aiden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman L. Kubiac in 1960, two sisters, Gertrude C. Struble in 2005, Helen E. Naughton in 1964, and a son William L. Kubiac in 1983. Private funeral services were held. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Anne’s name.
