Anne Rezabek, 87, of Cortland died at 12:10 PM Sunday Dec.23, 2007 at Gillette’s Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born Dec.22, 1920 in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of John and Helen Majurski. Anne came to the United States in 1925 and lived in Garrettsville for 40 years moving to the Warren area in 1987. She was employed by Halle Brothers and the May Co. stores in Cleveland as a sales clerk and also worked as a bar-maid at Rez’s Inn on Elm Rd. in Warren. Anne was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church OCA in Warren where she belonged to the sisterhood and she enjoyed sewing and shooting pool. Her husband of 45 years Anton Rezabek whom she married July 18, 1942 preceded her in death May 10, 1987. She is survived by sons Lawrence J. (Dana) Rezabek of New Jersey, Paul A. (“Cookie”) Rezabek of Bazetta with whom she made her home, and 4 grandchildren Larry, Jimmy, Rachael, and Savannah Rezabek. The Rev. Jonathan Cholcher will conduct funeral services 1:00 PM Thursday December 27, 2007 at St. John’s Orthodox Church OCA 2220 Reeves Rd. NE Warren, OH where friends will be received for 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park.
