Mrs. Anne S. Organ, 97, of Brookfield, Ohio passed away at 1:10 PM on Tuesday January 17, 2012 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. Mrs. Organ was born on February 12, 1914 in Mocanaqua, PA the daughter of the late John and Eva (Bobby) Sorensky. At an early age Anne and her family moved to Sharon where she would go on to graduate from Sharon High School. She attended the Shenango School of Business and was employed as a bookkeeper for more than twenty-five years at G.C. Murphy Department Store before her retirement She married her husband John Wilson Organ and together they were members Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon, PA. Anne's favorite pastimes were reading, gardening, and sewing. She was a lifelong animal lover who devotedly rescued many cats over the years and welcomed them into her home. Mrs. Organ is survived by her six nieces and nephews, good neighbors and her dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband John, who passed away in 1981, three sisters Mary Sabol, Helen Kocholek and Julia Kebaugh, and her brother John Sorensky. Friends may call on Thursday morning January 26, 2012 from 9:30-10:00AM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield, OH 44403 where funeral services will begin at 10:00AM. Burial will be with her husband at St. Michael's Byzantine Cemetery in Hermitage, PA.
