Anthony J. Liberatore, 72, of Champion Township, died Thursday, May 18, 2006 at 12Noon at his home from ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Born November 1, 1933 in Warren and a lifetime area resident, he was the son of the late John and Mamie Scarpaci Liberatore. Anthony was a 1951 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and retired from Packard Electric in 1991 after 39 years of service. An avid Cleveland Indians fan, Anthony enjoyed boating, fishing and camping. He was of the Methodist faith. He married Barbara Powell September 17, 1955. Together they shared 50 years of marriage celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this past September. Anthony will be dearly missed by his loving wife Barbara Liberatore of Champion Twp, their three sons, Gregory Liberatore of Warren, Randall (Sondra) Liberatore of Victorville, CA and Brian Liberatore of Brookfield, 5 grandchildren, Samanthalee, Randalee, Lheda, Rochelle, and Julia, two brothers Pat (Vista) Liberatore and Joseph Liberatore both of Warren and a sister Josephine (Tom) Sewickley also of Warren. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents and by an infant brother. Calling hours will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday at the Roberts Clark Funeral Chapel. Pastor Jay Eastman will conduct services 11:00 AM Monday May 22 at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in the Crown Hill Mausoleum.
