Arden L. Hetrick of Brookfield, OH passed away on Sunday June 16, 2013 at 10:04AM at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown. He was 68 years old. Arden was born on June 30, 1944 in Heathville, PA the son of Rudolph N. and Clara Hetrick. He was a 1962 graduate of Hubbard High School and following his graduation he went on to serve Our Country in the Army during the Vietnam War as a Specialist Grade 4. For his service he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Marksman Medal. Following his discharge in 1971, Arden would work for RTI in Youngstown as a furnace operator for over thirty years before his retirement in 2004. In his leisure time he enjoyed working on antique cars. He leaves behind his two brothers Melvin L. Hetrick and his wife Carole of Girard, OH and William W. Hetrick of Brookfield as well as several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family may visit from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM Wednesday June 19, 2013 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Rd. Brookfield, Ohio 44403. A funeral service will be held 11:00AM Thursday morning at the funeral home. Friends may also call one hour prior to the start of the service. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests that any contributions be made to either Hospice of the Valley Hospice House or to the Salvation Army.
