Arettia Boring

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Niles for Arettia "Sis" A. Boring who passed away at Humility House. Sis was born June 27, 1939 in Curtisville, PA a daughter of the late James and Mary (Sample) Thomas. She retired from Family Medical Clinic in Niles and had previously worked at the Niles Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Niles, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mineral Ridge Fire Department, but most of all loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her husband Kenneth E. Boring, whom she married August 9, 1958; two children: Shannon (Mark) Heilman of Mineral Ridge and Thomas E (Kathlene A.) Boring of Niles; one sister: Saundra Shafer of Cortland; one brother: Fred "Jerry" (Carolyn) Thomas of Brookfield; a sister in law Rosann Thomas of Cortland; and three grandchildren: Anna, Cody, and Taylor. Besides her parents, Sis is predeceased by a brother Ronald Thomas. Memorial contributions may be made to the church in Sis's name. Friends may call from 5 pm until 8 pm Thursday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel and from 10 am until 11 am Friday at the church.
