Arlene Skoog Miller, 89, of Warren, was born in Youngstown, OH, September 2, 1923, daughter of Edna Nauer and Gustafus Adolfus Skoog and raised by her grandmother. She resided in Warren before moving to Middleburg, FL. in 2001, to be close to her daughter. She passed away peacefully at St. Vincent's Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida with family by her side on June 30, 2013. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Carole (Charles "Leon") England of Middleburg, Fl. and daughter of heart Charlene Rice. Arlene married Fred "Fritz Allen Miller, Jr. on June 19, 1942. They enjoyed over 58 years together until he preceded her in death on November 27, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Frederick "Rick" and Larry Miller, as well as her brothers Al & Ernest Skoog. She retired from American General Life Insurance Co and Retail Promotions. Arlene was a Past President of American Legion Dept. Of Ohio, member of Red Hattitudes of Orange Park, FL., member of St Paul's Lutheran Church & Orange Park Presbyterian Church of Orange Park, FL. Orange Park Presbyterian Ruth Circle, member of Christian Connection, New Beginnings and Shepherd Center, Past President of Child Conservation League (Ohio), Past Treasurer Beta Sigma Phi. Arlene was an avid bridge player and had many extended family friends. Her positive & loving personality made Arlene and Fritz's home an open door. She enjoyed life and was a Christian. Mom lived every moment of her life to the fullest and made it impossible for anyone to keep up with her. She will be deeply missed by all her family and all who knew her. We love you Mom!!!!!! Funeral services will be held 12:00 Monday July 8, 2012 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church 2860 Market St. Warren, OH 44483. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
