HUBBARD- Arnold Richard DeWalk, 92, passed away Saturday, January 03, 2015 at Northside Medical Center. He was born in Youngstown, OH on April 1, 1922 to the late John and Christine (Koprasky) DeWalk. Arnold was a lifelong Youngstown resident and went to Youngstown State University and was a member of the Sigma Kappa Phi Fraternity. He served in the United States Army Air Force during War World II. On July 27, 1944 Arnold married his loving wife, Virginia (Kimmel) DeWalk and they would go on to celebrate 70 years together. Arnold worked as the Vice President and general manager at Tee Nee Boat Trailers before he retired in 1984. He once served as the president for the Boat Trailers Association and was a member of the Cortland Conservation Club. Arnold also worked as a volunteer tax examiner for 25 years for AARP Tax Returns where he received many rewards for his service. Arnold will be remembered for his passion for golf, fishing, gardening, and cooking, as well as his complaints about people leaving the lights on. Left to celebrate his memory is his wife, Virginia DeWalk; his children, Richard (Beverly) DeWalk, Debby (Timothy) Tynan, Susan (Len) Draghi, and Cindy DeWalk; his 6 grandchildren; and his 9 great-grandchildren. Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Leona Sackreiter. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 6, from 11AM-12Noon at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel where a memorial service will follow at 12Noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Canfield Community Concert Band on their website.
