Arthur S Cornfield

Vienna Arthur S. Cornfield, 87, passed away on Thursday morning, November 2, 2017 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Arthur was born on October 30, 1930 in Niles, OH, a son of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Shields) Cornfield. He was a 1948 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and served his country in the Korean War for two years. He was employed in the steel industry and retired from Allied Metals and Levi Steels. He was a very proud of man structural steel fabrications he built in the local area. He was a member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church and served as past Sunday School Superintendent. He was a member of the VFW Post #3521 in Vienna, OH. Arthur will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Eva (Griffin) Cornfield of Vienna, whom he married on June4, 1953; his children, Darald Cornfield of Hubbard, OH, Jeffrey (Valerie) Cornfield of Champion, OH, Michael Cornfield of Vienna, OH, Holly Cornfield of Romulus, MI, and Allison (Rob) Hicks of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Dolly, Ryan, Jennifer, Jeffrey, and William Cornfield; his great- grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsie, and Brady; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Florabelle and brother Maynard. Funeral services for Arthur will be held on Monday November 6, 2017 at 11:00AM Lane Family Funeral Home Roberts Clark Chapel in Warren, OH with Pastor Tom Badanjek officiating the service. Family will receive friends from 2-5:00PM on Sunday November 5, 2017 at the funeral home.
