Audrey E. Bixler

Funeral services will be 11 am Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austintown for Audrey Bixler, who passed away Thursday morning at her home. Audrey was born January 29, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI a daughter of the late Frank E. and Rose (Langner) Retzlaff. Prior to marrying the late Harry L. Bixler on August 18, 1945, Audrey had worked at International Harvester and for Lakeside Laboratories. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Mineral Ridge and was formerly active in the Austintown PTA. Audrey will be sadly missed by her children: Don Bixler of Mineral Ridge, Doreen (Russ) Inglis of Austintown, Dorothy (Bob) Smart of Austintown, Donna Rodgers of Austintown, Debbie (Steve) Kascak of Mineral Ridge, Harry (Linda) Bixler of Canfield and Terry Bixler of Youngstown; one sister Ruth Riecica of Milwaukee, WI; two brothers: Norman and Frank Retzlaff both of Milwaukee, WI; twenty eight grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Audrey is predeceased by three brothers: Harold, Arthur, and Charles Retzlaff; and a grandson Michael Smart. Memorial contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in Audrey's name. Friends may call from 2 pm until 4 pm Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes Mineral Ridge Chapel and from 10 am until 11 am Monday at the church.
