Barbara A. Holt

Barbara A. "Babs" Holt, age 80, of Cortland died at 4:30 pm Friday, January 4, 2008, at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital emergency room. She was born November 6, 1927 in Gardner, Mass. the daughter of the late Arthur and Anita (Robinson) Bamford. Mrs. Holt previously lived in Aurora and Bloomingville, OH, moving to Cortland in 2004. Barbara retired as a social worker for Portage County Family Services, where she worked for 15 years. She was a member of the Cortland Christian Church She is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Larson of Burton; two sons, Gregory B. Holt of North Olmsted and Jonathan L. Holt of Middlefield; 1 granddaughter and 2 grandsons and one sister, Jean Howe of Syracuse, NY. Her husband, John Bradford Holt, whom she married June 17, 1950, preceded in death in August 2000. Arrangements are being handled by Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland. A memorial service will be at the Cortland Christian Church at 11:00 am Saturday, January 12, 2008 with Rev.
