Barbara L Skinner

Barbara L. Skinner, 85 of warren passed away at 4:00am Monday May 18, 2009 at Washington Square Nursing Home. Barbara was born in Burlington, Iowa on December 23, 1924. Moving to the area from Iowa in 1991, she was a secretary at Hinkel Industries retiring after 15 years of service in 1979. Prior to moving to the Warren area Barbara was the secretary at Iowa State Penitentiary for 10 years. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Warren, member of the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the American Revolution. Her favorite pastimes were spent gardening and being outside. She was a lover of animals especially horses and dogs. Survivors include her two sons; Michael Stucke of Fort Worth , Texas, Dr. Gary (Antoinette) Stucke of Warren; stepsons; Robert Skinner of Iowa, Larry Skinner of Illinois; one brother John Anderson of Richmond, Virginia; six grandchildren Michelle, Jan, Michael, Lucas, Kathryn, and Megan; 3 step grandchildren; Sean, Loretta, and Mary Jeanean ; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband; Edward Joseph Stucke in 1965 and her second husband, Virgil Skinner in 1983; and her parents. A private family service will be held with Rev. Carolyn Bloomfield officiating. Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren was entrusted with the arrangements.
