AUSTINTOWN CHAPEL: MCDONALD: Barbara Pauline McNees, age 75, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Brierfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown, Ohio. Barbara was born September 3, 1939 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin to parents; Emory and Lola (Peeples) Beranek. Barbara married Robert E. McNees on December 29, 1959 and together they shared 48 years of marriage and had two wonderful children. Robert passed away May 9, 2007. Barbara worked as a Pharmacy Technician for more then 20 years at McDonald Pharmacy, retiring in 2001. She moved to Tucson, Arizona for 8 years and returned to the area in 2009. Barbara was a very active member of her church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in McDonald, Ohio. She was also very active and the first female member of the Lions Club. Barbara's main interest was that of her family and her children. Survivors include her son: Scott (Kimberley) McNees, McDonald, daughter; Susan P. McNees, McDonald, brother; Joseph (Tu-sing) Beranek, Tucson, Arizona, sisters; Patricia Hansen, St. Petersburg, Florida, Sheila (Gene) Gorrell, Titusville, Florida, grandchildren; Michael (Elizabeth) Pons, Pittsburgh, PA, Robert (Holly) McNees, Youngstown, Sarah (Leah) Pons, Niles, Ohio, Stefanie McNees, Newton Falls, Ohio, great grandchildren; Christopher and Madison Pons. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister; Mary Ann Schoff. A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, McDonald on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00am. Family will receive guest from 10am until time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
