Barbara Ruth Carr Mines Palette

Vienna- Barbara Mines Palette, 85, of Vienna, passed away January 29th at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Barbara was born October 11, 1931 to the late James Carr and Ruth (Salway) Mines, and her adoptive father Harvey Lee Mines. She was a graduate of Howland High School, Barbara attended Mount Union College, and graduated from the Warren Business College. She worked for Packard Electric and Howland School Systems as a secretary. She was a member of Howland Community Church. Barbara was a loving mother and wife, she enjoyed sewing, embroidering, and cross stitching. Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ralph A. Palette whom she married September 5, 1953; her children, Deborah (Ray) Claus, Les (Sandra) Palette, and Lori (Rick) Wilson; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law Marion "June" Rausch, Joan Palette, and Elaine Palette, numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandchildren Shaun Palette and Dana Britt Wilson. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
