A memorial service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday November 16, 2008, at Smith Corners United Methodist Church for Beathea A. Dempsey, 90, of Austintown who passed away Thursday November 6, 2008 in Austinwoods Care Center. Beathea was born December 16, 1917 in Niles the daughter of James and Ethel (Hansen) Annos. She was a teller for 25 years for the Dollar Savings & Trust Company, retiring in 1973. Beathea was a member of the church and its Women's Society. Her husband Charles Dempsey, whom she marred December 22, 1939, passed away November 19, 1975. She leaves one daughter Sandra J. (Gary) Reel of Austintown, six grandchildren; Jennifer (Mark) West of Cleveland, John C. Evans of Youngstown, Charles Dempsey of South Carolina, Michelle (Jarred) Combis of Boardman, Emily Gray of Brunswick, David (Elizabeth) Reel of Hubbard as well as 9 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Beathea is preceded in death by one son; Frederick Dempsey. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Smith Corners United Methodist Church memorial fund in Beathea Dempsey's name.
