North Jackson- Services celebrating the life of Betty Hemphill will be held at 1pm Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel Betty was born January 14, 1929 in Youngstown the daughter of Henry H. and Lilly (Porter) Hendricks. Betty was a long time member of the First Federated Church where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship. She was also a member of the Pythian Lodge, North Jackson Fire Department Auxiliary and a former Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout leader and 4H advisor. Betty graduated from Greenford High School. She is survived by her children; Gary (Shirley) Hemphill, Alan (Bonny) Hemphill both of North Jackson and Brian (Lynn) Hemphill of Las Vegas. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Gary (Wendy) Hemphill Jr., Brad (Lora) Hemphill, Travis Hemphill, Jesica (Ron) McCollum, Breanna Hemphill great grandchildren; Abby, Ella, Emily, Alec Hemphill, Logan and Eva Marie McCollum. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Donald L. Hemphill whom she married April 17, 1948 and who died May 26, 1998. Also preceding her in death was her daughter Ann Russell, great granddaughters Lydia Grace and Grace Olivia Hemphill and brothers Alfred Moore and Bill Boyd. Family and friends may call from 4-7 pm Sunday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
