Betty J. Pugh

Betty Garrard-Pugh of Vienna Twp., OH, passed away early Monday morning September 13, 2010 at her home. She was 87 years old. Mrs. Pugh was born in Vienna, OH on March 3, 1923, a daughter of Clint and Auta (Ingman) Garrard. She was a 1941 graduate of Vienna High School and went on to marry Harold E. Pugh on January 9, 1944. Betty attended Vienna Presbyterian Church and had been a homemaker and mother to her three daughters. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Zydyk and her husband James of Chagrin Falls, OH, Rebecca Gibson and her husband Gary and Barbara Gardner and her husband Thomas all of Vienna, OH; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren also survive. Betty was preceded in death by her husband on November 14, 2008, three sisters Frances Hartman, Hazel Phillips, Marion Majesic and her brother Warren Garrard. Private family funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel in Brookfield, Ohio with the Rev. Bill Carter of Believers Christian Fellowship Church as pastor. Burial will be in Vienna Township Cemetery. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Dr. Eddy, Dr. Ricchiuti, Dr. Memo, the Vienna Pharmacy Care, and to Hospice of the Valley for all the support and guidance shown to them.
