Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Betty J. Paul age 75 of Belmont, OH formerly of Austintown who died Friday evening at her daughter’s home in Belmont, OH. Betty was born Jan 31, 1929 in New Springfield, OH and was the daughter of Herman and Susie (Summer) Seeger. She had been a Field Director for Camp Fire Girls and a case worker for Columbiana County Dept. of Welfare until she retired in 1980. She was a 1954 graduate of Youngstown College and received her Masters Degree in 1983 from Youngstown State University and received a National Board Counseling Certificate. Betty had been a volunteer for Hospice of the Valley in Youngstown, Help Hotline and Battered Persons Crisis Center in Youngstown. She was a fraternal member of the Saxon Club, an alumnae member of Zeta Tau Alpha Society and past president of the A.A.R. P in St. Clairsville, OH. Betty is survived by a daughter Debra (Ronald) Williams with whom she made her home, two sons Mark Paul of St. Clairsville, OH, David (Karen) Paul of Flushing, OH, a sister Violet Pfau of Arizona, 8 grandchildren Dawn, John, Michael, Jason, Joshua, Jarred, Nickolas, Kayla and a great grandson Marcus. She was preceded in death by a brother Herman Seeger and a daughter Mary Rebecca. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Sunday. The family requests that material contributions be made to Valley Hospice of Wheeling, West Vir., 98B E. Tove Ave., Wheeling, WV. 26003.
