Betty Jane Yacovone

LAKE MILTON-A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10AM Friday, May 1, 2009 in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with Fr. Stephen Popovich officiating preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:30AM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Betty Jane Yacovone, 81, who passed away at 12:45AM Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the Humility House in Austintown. Betty Jane was born June 27, 1927 in Campbell the daughter of the late Cosmo and Anna (Crano) Rich and was a 1946 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. Betty Jane was a homemaker and in the 1970’s was a food service worker with the Jackson Milton School District for several years. Prior to her marriage, she also worked as a clerk at the Mahoning County Court House. Betty Jane is survived by her husband of 59 years Nick E. Yacovone whom she married September 10, 1949 and together they shared three children Randall A. (Rose Ann) Yacovone of Pittsburgh, Lynette M. (Richard) Cadle of North Jackson, Debra A. (James) Steinhaus of Columbus and three grandchildren Corbin Steinhaus, Anna Marie Cadle and Christine Steinhaus. Also surviving are two brothers Dr. Patrick (Eleanor) Rich of Akron and Dr. Robert (Phyllis) Richiutti of Poland. Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a sister Loretta Lesko. Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 5 until 8 PM in the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown. The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Rich Center for Austism. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Humility House for their care and concern that they showed to Betty Jane and her family.
