Betty Lou Williams

October 29, 1925 — March 27, 2013

Betty Lou Williams, 87, of Austintown, passed away, Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Stockport, Ohio the daughter of Lorren and Edith (Adrian) Spencer. Betty was born and raised on a farm in Stockport and a graduate of Stockport School. Betty was affectionately known as "Betty Boop" by her friends and family. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, watching Jeopardy and just sitting and watching the birds. She loved to travel with her husband Billy, which included wintering in Florida. The two of them loved to snowmobile, boat and ride motorcycles. Betty was a happy woman that was loved by many. She loved nature, but more importantly loved her family. Those who knew Betty will always remember her smile. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, of 66 years; Billy Wesley Williams, her son; Robert S. Williams, of Austintown, her daughter; Linda (Robert) Simerlink, of Poland, a sister; Janet (Donald) Holland and a brother; Gene (Ann) Spencer, both of Stockport, four grandchildren; Chris, Alexis, Whitney and Abby, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers; James and Carl Spencer, a sister; Louise Cole and her parents. A memorial service will be held at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2432 S. Raccoon Rd., in Austintown, on Fri., April 5, 2013 at 11:00am.
