Betty Shook

Betty J. Shook, age 89 of North Jackson passed away Thursday, August 08, 2013 at Salem Community Hospital. Born February 9, 1924 in Youngstown to parents Arthur and Zilla Mae (Rowe) Foster. Betty married Robert Shook on February 5, 1944 and together they had 3 wonderful sons. Betty was a devoted homemaker. She loved Bingo, playing cards and a good gambling game or two. Survivors include her sons; Roy (Nancy) of Canfield, Dale (Kathe) of Medina, Greg (Peggy) of North Jackson, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Bill Caton and sister; Mary Crosetto. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 5-7pm at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 13th at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at North Jackson Cemetery.
