Betty T. Dillon, age 82 of Howland Township, died Tuesday afternoon, July 16, 2013, at her home. She was born November 25, 1930 in Girard, the daughter of the late Emil and Mary Vusinich Bistarkey. She was a lifetime Trumbull county resident. Betty was a 1948 graduate of Howland High School. She first worked at Kreske's 5&10, Warren City Schools and the Trumbull County Schools superintendant office. She retired after 19 years as secretary from State Farm Insurance, the John Rush agency. Betty enjoyed cooking, baking and loved being a homemaker and spending time with her family and her granddaughters. She was a charter member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland, where she had served as the church secretary many years ago. Betty is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bill H. Dillon, whom she married May 24, 1952; one daughter, Jean M. Dillon of Howland; three granddaughters, Ashley Nicole Anderson of Champion, Jillian Alexis Anderson of Washington, DC and Shelby Elizabeth Anderson with the USMC in San Diego; her adopted daughter (former exchange student) Julie Lindop Simpson and family of England; a close family friend, Joi Morris of Warren and Betty's caregivers, Desirea Toda, Amy Burch and Kathy Rarogiewicz. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren and also Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the 10:30 a.m. service at Living Lord Lutheran Church. Pastor William D. Leitch will officiate. Burial will be at Howland Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Rd.
