Bill D Brown

FOWLER TWP.- Bill D. Brown, 74, passed away from his earthly life and went to be with the Lord at his home with his family and friends around him on Friday, November 6, 2015. He was born on November 6, 1941 in Somerset, PA to Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Koontz) Brown. Bill married his wife, Patricia (Costello) Brown on July 8, 1978. Bill worked as an auto body technician and then as head custodian at Mathews High School before retiring in 2011. Bill was an outdoorsman, enjoying spending the day in his yard tinkering with things and working in his garden. He loved camping, fishing and traveling. Bill loved to go to Mosquito Lake with a cup of coffee to just sit, relax and enjoy nature. Most of all, Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Patricia; his sisters, Betty, Grace, Shirley, JoAnn and Pat; daughters, Linda and Lisa; son, Joseph (Michele); grandchildren, Kayla, Connor, Karlye, Emerson, Evan, Justin, Andy and Madison. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley for their care, especially Jennifer and Beth, and all of the neighbors and friends who were a blessing to both Bill and Pat. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 North High Street, Cortland, OH, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
