Austintown—Memorial services will be held 6 PM Monday in Tabernacle Presbyterian Church, Austintown for Billie Jean Phyle, 69 of Austintown, formally of Texas. Mrs. Phyle passed away Saturday evening in Austinwoods Nursing Center. Billie Jean was born July 18, 1934 in Tularosa, New Mexico a daughter of James and Blanche (Rucker) Crane. She was a clerk for several retail stores for several years. Billie Jean also was an Avid Bingo Player and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband Donald H Phyle whom she married June 5, 1960 passed away August 3, 1996. She leaves her children: Sharon Lee (Ben) Fox of Austintown, James Oneil Anno of Florida, Sheila E. (Ed) Justus of Texas, and Evi Sue (Todd) Teachout of Minnesota, as well as 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves 4 brothers: Melvin (Pat) Crane of California, Lawrence (Janet) Crane, Raymond (Lancine) Crane, and Tommy (Debbie) Crane all of Texas, and a sister Rebecca (Kelly) Bingle also of Texas. There are no calling hours. The family requests that material contributions take the form of donations to Hospice of The Valley on Market Street. Billie Jean will laid to rest next to her husband in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonia, Texas. Local arrangements by Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
