Billy J. McLain, 77 Newton Falls: Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday July 17th at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Billy J. McLain, 77 of Newton Falls who died Monday evening at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Billy was born December 27, 1937 in Marion, Indiana, a son of the late Guild R. and Sara E. Simpson McLain and came to this area in 1972 from Swayzee, Indiana. He had been a foreman in the press room for General Motors for 41 years, retiring in 2001. He was a former member of Swayzee Christian Church and enjoyed golfing and fishing. His wife, the former Betsy M. Rudibaugh whom he married August 5, 1972, died September 12, 2014. He leaves two sons, Mark (Tracy) McLain of San Diego, California and their children, Elizabeth, Matthew, Kyle and Sophia, Steven (Shari) McLain of Marion , Indiana and their children, Amanda, Nicholas, Jared and Jaiden, a great-grandchild; one daughter, Kimberly Kelch of Edgewater, Florida and her children, David and Kalan; two step-sons, Michael G. Batcha of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joseph A. Batcha of Newton Falls; two brothers, Paul Daniel (Mickey) McLain of Marion, Indiana, Jerry L. McLain of Gas City, Indiana; three nieces, Stacey, Stephanie, and Michelle.. Besides his parents and his wife, Billy was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McLain. Friends may call on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m.at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
