Bonnie Jean Smith

Bonnie Jean Smith, 65 of Bazetta Twp. Passed away at her home, Thursday September 17, 2009. She was born in Hubbard on November 2, 1943, the daughter of Arthur Dale and Marion Louise (Reeker) Uber. A lifetime area resident, Bonnie worked as a laborer at Packard Electric, retiring in 1999 after 36 years of service. She is survived by her four children; Merle G. Smith Jr. of Jackson, Mississippi, Steven Smith of Cortland, Pamela June Black of Louisa, Virginia and Barbara Fay Smith of Cortland; Siblings Tom Uber of California, Ruth Dorsey of Mecca, and Carol Cross of Vienna; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a great grandson. According to Bonnie's wishes a private family service has been held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel in Cortland.
